Electrical Safety – Polarity, Circuit Breaker, EMF Testing

Polarity Testing of Power Outlets:

  • Ensures live wire are turned off at the switch.
  • Incorrect wiring or build-up of debris on rear of switch is an electrical fault.

Requirements:

  • Power connected to property is required for this test.
  • Where an issue is found, the outlet is taped with hi-visibility tape and an assessment by our qualified electrician is recommended prior to use.

Circuit Breaker Testing:

  • Pushing a current through the system to the meter box to test that trip switches are working confirms power will be cut if an incident, fault or overload occurs.
  • Power connected to property is required for this test.
  • Where an issue is found an assessment by our qualified electrician is recommended prior to use.

Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Testing:

  • Detects EMF’s in rooms especially near meter boxes.
  • EMF’s are present wherever electrical current flows, higher levels can be found near smart meters, caused by faulty electrical earthing and from overhead power cables.
  • EMF’s can cause sickness, affect electrical devises including pacemakers, cause depression, sleepiness, migraines and nausea.
  • Power connected to property is required for this test.
  • Solutions could be as simple as re-positioning beds or furniture, shielding of electrical meters, or assessment of electrical faults by our qualified electrician.

Prices vary depending which service and if in conjunction with another inspection.
